The entire graphic works

Despite his early death before the age of 34, the painter, graphic designer, environment and object-artist Blinky Palermo left behind an astonishingly organic, influential oeuvre. The search for autonomous painting led Palermo to a formal language that, though formally minimal, yielded astonishingly energetic, riveting and immediately sensual works: “There is always something irritating and inexplicable about the elementary in his work, something that eliminates any semblance of solidification.” (Erich Franz) The artist himself preferred to show his works in exhibitions divided into genre. The same principle is followed in the presentation at Museum DKM, which gives visitors an overview of Blinky Palermo’s entire output of graphic works.
