This year, AREA Ruhr is once again «on the trail of East Asia in NRW» and, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the town twinning between Duisburg and Wuhan, is presenting the DKM Museum with its large collection of East Asian art. In two lectures, Thomas Heberer and Matthias Stepan summarise the state of municipal partnerships with China and the cooperation between German and Chinese universities in the shadow of the tense political situation.

This year’s AREA Day will take place in Presence. Due to a limited number of participants at the DKM Museum, registration is required for both parts of the event (Part 1 13:30-17:00 pm / Part 2 17:00-19:00 pm).
