KAISER ANTONINO DANCE ENSEMBLE
After a successful European tour, the play returns to the place of its premiere, the Museum DKM.
On stage are four dancers of different generations, creating a rich texture of conflicting emotions. The powerful and sensitive choreography by Avi Kaiser and Sergio Antonino succeeds in capturing the subtle nuances of human emotions.
Nira Perry (Dance critic)
In these times, a classic theme is returning: the “institution” of the family and its complex relationships. Its members are entangled in a web of love, dependence, violence, contradiction and ambivalence. That is the theme of the play. The title describes onomatopoeically the call to be quiet even in the face of strong emotions, to hide intentions. The choreographic structure of the piece is determined by the space, which protects the characters, but at the same time creates a kind of prison in which love, hate and aggression take place. Each actor will express themselves in one of the classic family roles. It’s about the clandestine power structures. The dancers move between surrendering themselves and the will to liberate. The basis of the choreography is research: whispering, silence, loudness within family structures; Translating silence into movement, dynamism, quality; Revealing secrets through posture and voice; Lies with bodies.
