Norbert Kricke
18.11.2022 – 27.08.2023, extended until 25.02.2024
On 30 November, Norbert Kricke (DE, 1922 – 1984) would have turned 100. Since the opening of Museum DKM, two rooms in the permanent collection have been dedicated to the work of Norbert Kricke. In unchanged form, they present twenty drawings and two sculpture models from the Collection DKM to this day.
The drawings on display cover both the beginning and the end of the abstract creative phase from 1952 to 1984 and thus offer a comprehensive overview of the graphic oeuvre of Norbert Kricke, who remained faithful to the line as a means of design until the end.
On the occasion of the 100th birthday of the Düsseldorf sculptor, Museum DKM is presenting further, previously unseen drawings from its large collection as well as an early figurative sculpture kindly made available by the Norbert Kricke Archive, Berlin, for the duration of the exhibition.
